Since 1999, Flamenco Chicago has presented and created:

  • informative school assemblies about the history and many cultures that created flamenco
  • college and university masterclasses
  • artist-in-residence programs
  • choreographies commissioned by dance companies and cultural institutions
  • entertainment for cultural events
  • a colorful flamenco introduction for nearly 100,000 students and thousands of families in cultural programs throughout the Midwest

It was a great show and I believe everyone enjoyed it. Everything was great. I spoke to my older students afterwards on Friday and they were all pleasantly surprised by the dancing...I think they were expecting salsa or something :) I will keep in touch in case I hear of other schools looking for a greatly organized flamenco show.
