Basic 3/Intermed. Abanico and Choreography (6-week, 6-class session)

Saturdays 11-12noon (Sept. 7-Oct. 12). Flamenco technique class geared toward students who have a minimum of 3 years of previous flamenco study.

In addition to technique, students will continue to learn the basics of using the flamenco fan, or abanico as well as a choreography using the fan, most likely a guajiras.

You must provide your own pericon-sized (large) flamenco fan, which can be purchased at various places online, for example, here. If you are a student who performs in our showcases during the year, we recommend that you purchase the color white.

Because, during the past 10 years, the quality of flamenco fans sourced from Spain has become very flimsy and subject to breaking, we recommend that you purchase two, in order to have a spare — or be very careful with your use of your fan, and treat it with respect : ) .

Tuition is $108 for the 6-week, 6-class session, and missed classes may be made up in any other class on the schedule. Makeups must be taken within this 6-week session.

Class enrollment is online only, via Chase Quick Pay, your own bank’s money transfer through Zelle, or via Paypal.

To enroll using Quick Pay or your own bank's app, send $108 to Flamenco Chicago at rosetta@flamencochicago.com (and be sure to include a memo telling us you are enrolling for Saturday Technique). If you are not on our elist and are not already a student at Flamenco Chicago, please include your email address in the memo when you pay using your bank app. This way, we’re able to contact you in case of any change of schedule.

If you prefer to enroll using Paypal, click the button below. There is an added admin fee already included in the price, bringing your total to $112.
